Shelby (3731km): Running very tight to the wind this morning which made the strip super smoooth. Caught Pete on the road at about 6.40 so we got to race around the branches, wash outs and fat black calf together to arive just after seven to find kato rigged and cherpy. I reckon it was getting up around 35kts first up RSR5.0,JP sp45,CA sl55,Kassy 21.5,venom 30.

kato (37642km): Another play day Thursday.7.30 start on the water This one had a lot of south in it making the course very tight but easy to sail back to the car park end. Managed to pull a 38 peak comming back upwind on the wrong tack for the Ka assy fin. Good fin that one. Chased Shelby around for a one hour with the 52 and the TM 26 bolted in, a bit windy for this but the water was nice a flat. The Sl52 continues to impress me with how it handles the chop. Went chasing a few ks with it with a C3 venom 30 in for the first time, great fin with this board must be the NZ conection thing. I just could concentrate on the swell lines and not worry about anything else. In the end i got smashed by the hand of God and a standing wave. Too stuffed to continue. A great fun day with Lots of Pit Crew even Daffys board made it down with out him Speed and NM done on the CA40 with the Ka 5.0 and Ka/Loc 20 assy, One hr and Alpha,s on the Sl 52/Ka 5.0/TM 26. There is some vid, i just struggling with the tech side to upload it but it will happen one day.
Peter Johnston (8869km): Bit disappointed in the top speeds but good to improve the alpha a bit. Seemed to have left my mojo at home today as it took a while for me to get in the groove, by that time the tide had come in and the super glassy runs were over. The hr included three dropped gybes so when I finally get my gybing sorted... Expecting hail and filthy cold but lo and behold as soon as we got sailing out came the sun and we had sun and blues skies all day!! Good fiesty SSW wind which never really eased up much all day. After hitting the water at 8am we all packed it in at about 2.30pm - I had no juice left in the tank. Lugging 5 kg on my back for the morning session contributed Good to catch up with the other crew and great work on the 1hr PBs guys. KA Koncept 4.4m - all day!, Lorch Div S 63L and KA 20cm assy, and JP slalom 84L with KA 23cm assy.

Ado (4489km): Well got there late and on the water by 10:30 so I missed the best conditions. But it was a really fun session. Felt summery, sunny and warm (for August). Great results team and congrats on the PB's! CA SL55, Koncept 2010 6.4, KA Symm 23 Speed. CA SP40, Koncept 2009 5.0, KA Symm 23 Speed. |
