Arrived to a decent WSW. Mick from the Busters already rigged and ready to go. Rigged the 6m and headed out. Few decent runs, first one 31 knots and second run a 32. Feeling pretty comfotable now on the Futura and Venoms after a lot of front foot problems. Slightly lower boom and mast track slight forward centre seems to have eliminated the problem. Few more runs and the winds shifted more westerly making it quite hard in the gusty conditions to get a decent run down the sandbar. Practised gybes for the rest of the day straight out and back to the sandbar. | ||||||||||||||||||
Skipper (479km):  2 categories   Sailed at The Pit. The best of the wind was early when the tide was too high. When the tide changed so did the wind. It went very west, got bumpy and dropped out. Didn't take the speed board out as I thought I might get stuck on the wrong side of the inlet if the wind dropped any further. Sailed the "re-shaped" 85 isonic with the 5.5 overdrive. Wasn't really comfortable all day but it was still good to get wet. The sun even came out !!! | ||||||||||||||||||
