First run was the best, then struggled getting back upwind. First time out in real speed conditions with slalom board, speed fin and 5.8 sail. Had 2 other reasonable runs, then got the harness stuck round the fin, went to release it and sliced my index finger open. I have very thin blood due to meds - took a long time to stop bleeding and now feel a little like I am drunk. Learnt that I have a hell of a lot to learn :-D

Just worked out how to delete the 65knt spike, and 48knt 2sec average :D Really pleased that I have finally beaten the 30, just need to do it consistently now - and more than 5 times in a session

Should try a smaller fin, but was ok until the water dropped then too bouncy for the kit. Theres a couple more knots in this combination on flat water though.

Never mind Lee, hope the finger was ok/will be ok for later this week!

It has been a while since we have had wind from this direction...shame about the incessant rain and low tide.  Pleased to get onto small kit though!

tried and tried to get a nautical mile crashed my best one with 100m to go, bugger it 1600m at 32 k. In the end had to settle for one with a gybe.

Very dark pretty early after work and the tide never came in at all which didnt help.

Hey Spencer,

Sorry to see your pain.  On the bright side, I absolutely love your avatar - what a crack up.
