5126 days ago 2 categories Another fun day at the Ray - dry, warm(ish) and windy (wsw)! To begin with it was surprisingly choppy and on my second run I managed to spin out at 35 knots. Somehow I managed to regain control (much to the surprise of Ian who was watching from the bank) so no harm was done to myself or my kit! We spent pretty much all of the session doing short runs (250m) at the top of the east course and there were only six sailors out in total - 4 speedies and 2 freeriders. The water flattened off towards the end of the session but it didn't turn out to be a day for PBs. Still... a 35 knot average counts as a worthwhile session for me and it certainly beats working! Ian was flying after yesterdays warm up session and he was dialled in to the conditions right from his first run today.
