Last week on thursday i was on a mission to improve my personal best Horst speed (set during usm) and to break the spot record, this mission was not a big succes. The forecast for this morning was great again so i gave it another try. Arrived at 7.30, Dirk was already sailing! The wind was not super strong, but around 10,30 i quite as the forecast was decreasing wind, i broke already the spotrecord and i had appointments the rest of the day. When i was derigging the wind was increasing, after checking the wind report for Zeewolde/ Harderwijk the best wind was between 10.30 am and 12 am. This means much better speeds are possible at Horst. Over 90 km/h topspeed and 85 average will be broken here on the perfect day, remember these words.

wind was good in the morning but the angle was dead square so hard to make long runs. $0Later went to zonnemaire were I had only 1 good gust and the rest was struggling  to get back to the beach on 5.6 , so wrong spot choice today . congrats on all the horst speedies who did so well and Jacques on his new Horst spot record.
