5104 days ago 1 categories Went to Point Walter to try a couple of F2's I bought from Crasher ,an sx xs and a missile small. am happy with results!
Rigged the 6.7 on the sx with the slingshot 21 and got a couple of 37s then slowey showed up and wind seemed to disappear !
mind you he still managed a 40 . after he left the wind filled in so rigged the 6.2 with missile and slingshot, first run 40.0 on the dial
that turned out to be my fastest run .am very happy with the boards thanks Crasher.

5104 days ago Started at Melville and it looked windy enough to get the Nude 42 and 5.5m going some of the time. I sailed to Pt Walter hoping for some stronger gusts. Took a while but I got a good gust heading towards Peli Pt downwind of the jetty for a 39. Then I hooked a nice bullet in the rock garden and the run was over before I got the end of the channel before the sand bar is exposed. Very peaky with 40.6 on the dial. But it was a very short and narrow gust. I got bored with swimming and waiting for gusts to get planing on the sandbar so back to Melville. Had a great sail depite feeling like crap, swimming a bit, and generally being underpowered on 5.5m... but it was nice for a change. 5.5m EIII is asweet sail. I rigged it with a 400SDM (which is quite stiff for the sail) and put full downhaul on it. Had loads of grunt. The board was unreal in the river chop.

Peli Point Slalom. Good turnout once again and I counted 70 boards there at one point, which is pretty solid for a Wednesday afternoon.
I followed my "rig big" philosophy and was consequently well powered on 7.0 in 20 -25 knots of breeze and heavy chop. Used the Manta 59 and Talon 34 all day, and was a bit bit buggered by the time the races started, which is my excuse for falling off three times.
Thanks to Garry and Benny from Windsurfing WA for running the races, and also for the beer and pizza that went down a treat.

I seem to have Slowy's disease!. arrived late at the PP races only to find the wind starting to drop quick. The IS86 and Reflex 7 with 32 fin just weren't quite enough. Eventually changed to the IS101 with 40 Talon and that was much better. Had a quick drag with Dr Matt which is always fun.
Well done Stringer on the PB. Nice....

only 3/5 10 secs were any good... was focused on the nm after realising the 1hr was too hard basket in the chop
nice way to start the summer with a PB..
