Bonbeach, VIC, AU

Great day at Bono for the first sail of 2011.

Got down the beach about 12pm with Steve and ended rigging up 6.6m and thought I'd give the 170 starboard Go a try.

Had a great time on it and had a peak of 20.45 knots on it but once the chop picked up got a bit out of control Foot in mouthchanged to the Kombat 105 and stayed on it for the rest of the day.

Could have changed down to the 5.7m but could not be bothered_speed was not much higher on the Kombat 105 as the chop had picked up.

All in all a great day at Bono and really enjoyed it and bring on more of the same for Monday. Tongue out

Wind was up early afternoon at Elwood today gusting 20, expecting it would build rigged the 5.8 and took out the Super Sport and was nicely powered should of used the  6.2 hellcat which would of been better for top end speed.  Great day on the water with Jak and Kgb,

Elwood, VIC, AU, Great sail in perfect weather at Elwood with Jman and KGB. Started with the Koncept 6.6 and Tabou Rocket  and was well powered up for about an hour, then the wind gave away and had to rig up to the V8 7.5 to stay on the plane. Snapped the NP X3 boom in the last gybe on the way in Cry, so a bit of swimming involved to get back. The drama may earn me a Carbon boom in the end as my wife was there too and Jerry and Alex made a case that it will be safer to go with better material. Thanks guys, good work!! Smile

Well done on the pb's Beardie.

Should have joined you guys at Elwood today Jerry. Inverloch pretty much s%#ked. Little wind, over crowded, etc. Am really hoping tomorrow will see some decent conditions like today on the bay. Anyone have plans to head out again tomorrow if good?

Yep, that's the plan, going carbon now. Bummer is I have no boom for the V8 at the moment, if wind is not too light this arvo I should be fine and join you guys on the water. Maybe I'll drop in at SHQ and pick up a demo.
