MartinJE (4408km): Meola Reef WNW 10-35 (Pt Chev), small windchop behind ... ugly in the channel, LW-1.5 to +0.5; CA SL58, Venom 320, mb-1; Redline 7m0 - bit of a mission to get to the top of the reef ... but fun behind. Good call Chris - we had it to ourselves for quite a while | ||||||||||||||||||
Chris Parkinson (1758km): Meola Reef, Auckland NZ. SW 15- 30? Naish SP105, Big World Proto 22, KA Koncept 7.3 Testing 2nd of Brucey's Big World Prototype fins (2win-220.6.6) . All up I was impressed with the fin once I could load it up. The steep chop at the North end of the reef was the killer and caused a bit of spin out unless unloading back foot. Fin recovered super quick which gave confidence to push harder. Probably should have tested with the W58 board and 6.4 Koncept as the conditions were a bit much for the SP with the 7.3. Well done on the speeds Martin - you had that combo worked real well.

Michael Harris (1478km): Shoal Bay for an evening session Westerly 20- 25 Kn CA xr 68, Whitewater 34, Simmer Fly 6.2m. Launched at Landsdowne St and had a few runs behind the sandbar before HW approached and it chopped up. Should have gone out a bit earlier. |
