Looked grey, no wind and a horrible sea so other left me and Andy J thinking about it. After investing so miuch time in humming and haaing rigged 7.3m on 135l which got going easliy so changed to 105l and sailed nicely. Sea much nicer than it looked with rolling waves. More wind by Golf and bit of flat water just before spit to gybe in though fin hit bottom gently a couple of times. Nice rolling waves to turn on and surf down sometimes. Wind licked up and got choppy; in summer would have changed to 6m and smaller board but not in Feb. Enjoyed it

First time on big slalom kit in ages! The wind was pretty light when I arrived at the lake so I rigged big and then the wind kicked in. The gusts were pretty meaty and I was well overpowered at times but it was good fun and great practice.

Spot / Conditions: Brogborough Lake (England), 15 knots gusting 25 knots
Kit: JP Slalom V 68, 8.6m NP RS:Racing Evo II, Tectonics Talon 42
Tech Details: Navi GT-31 V1.4 (B0803T), GPSResults v6.90, Doppler, Cubic Spline.

Enjoyable day at the Ray -- but could have done with more wind and a bigger - newer board !! love the old Axis but I think I could get better times on modern kit.  Bit cold 7deg max ?  hand kept going numb . but got reasonable Alfa etc - so bit higher in Grandad (Legend) class Smile
Glad Ian R was there to keep me company ( as he kept wizzin past me !)

7 Mtr race sail and old Axis was bloody heavy to carry out an in Frown

first real sail of the year, no speed just a little blast at the local, nice to get the muscles warmed up!
