Darryl (25155km): Pt Walter, Reflex II 9.2 RRD 135 48 talon, Overpowered atlast. Loved it. Probably could have gone quicker on smaller gear but would have meant alot of swimming. Really enjoyed the 9.2. Size is important.
wog (7938km): Melville Beach, WA, AU Got down there as it was dropping the call on the grass was go large so rigged the v8 pluged the JP 122 in great call there .Planed most of the session cool
Glenno (6595km): Majestic Point, WA, AU 94 iSonic, 6.5 O/D, 34 Choco. A quick sail after working the morning. Missed the best of it, but still good to get out, after a long break.
Scott (5272km): Melville, WA - Futura 111, Lighting 7.8, Canefire 38 - Thought I better post and grab a 2 sec ball before Annie takes it away! Too long between drinks and the water is now offically cold! Good to catch up with the team! Nice speeds Darryl.
Annie (13527km): 7M T Bird & 122 XFire then 109 Naish then 111 Firestorm. What a day of ups & downs but you know how it is - no pain - no gain Had fun trying some new boards & my NM was on the Firestorm. Not sure where top speed came from, I will let Nelson check when he checks my tracks. Hopefully some more fun tomorrow.
Nelson d Foiler (31390km): Demo Day. Tried some 2012 RRD boards & a shiny new Tushingham 7.5M T-bird. RRD 122 V2, a 2012 RRD Freemove 111L & a 2012 RRD Firestorm 111L. Not the best conditions for testing gear but some interesting results Initially looking for a relacement for the AHD 85 wide hoping the 122 might do it but still not convinced Tried the Freemove & was surprised how quick it planes although it is 75cm wide I then thought this is so wide it will be crap when I hit some chop but it cruised over it with no problems, even with the footstraps way too big it was comfy. The treasurer had a go on the Firestorm & came back with a big grin saying I will like this, because she did and that's pretty rare. I thought the 7.5M would be a bit big for the Firestorm but it was sweet, planed early & sat flat as, nice board All the RRD boards gybe like they are on rails, would love a day really powered up to give them a real try out All in all had a good day, the sail went well & the new boards are amazing, the Freemove is just weird, it's so wide for a smallish board but doesn't feel that wide. The Firestorm was my pick of the bunch, might have to try a bigger one as well as the AHD replacement. Thanks to Paul & Jez at Secondwind, I might bring them back, not sure yet

Borgy (16631km): Majestic - Futura 141, Lightning 7.8m 50cm Drake Missed most of the good stuff, got on the water 3pm, when most were packing up. Quiet sail with Nic, after she talked me into it. |
