Slappa (3385km): Melville Beach, WA, AU
All types of wind today! Rigged for the lulls and unfortunately the gusts were a fair bit stronger!!! Came in and changed down fins once but only made a little differance in the strong gusts. Amazed how well the big gear can go if you are prepered to bear away a bit in the chop. COLD AS ON THE RIVER today!!!!!!!!!!! Gday Col...........what a champ after getting skunked once , when the wind came back he re-rigged and got back into a freezing wet wetsuit went back out and charged! Tough

col (16486km): Melville Beach, WA, AU Falcon 101 LB 7.8 36 C3 sting Had packed up and was sitting in car contemplating going home and getting warm when the wind started filling in again. Slappa rocked up (didnt know who he was at the time) and started rigging as well as a few others so I decided to rig up again and put on one very cold and wet wetsuit and have another go. Good to meet you Adam. | ||||||||||||||||||
ray gun (14091km): Melville Beach, WA, AU iso111, od6.5 dk40. Got to the river just as scarrgo was leaving. Rigged biggest in the trunk. fun cruising for 10min before squall hit.6.5 feeling a bit much in gusty winds and after last friday's arcing flight and resulting nose job, wasn't going to tempt fate with new girl. Waited for winds to ease off before venturing out for a ittle more. Called it quits when next squall hit (I know, I'm soft.) but wasn't going to change down in the rain. final nail in the coffin was dismount to rock, heel contact,(as the crow, crow,s!!!) I hate the stuff under water at melville. SP- loving the challenge of this board it's sweet. |
