Super session, this last minute decision payed off big time!!

I did not expect or believed this day could be so good, the wind filled in properly today.

Very happy I tried the ultra 22 for the first time it was very nice even with the 6,2 while it is ment for the 5,5...

Begon allemaal niet zo goed, ondanks dat ik Peter zijn instructies precies uitvoerde noemde hij de landing van de boot lomp??  Daarna een gebroken neerhalertouwtje en Marcel zijn reserve verlenger paste niet op mijn mastvoet. Toen een enorme regenbui over. Daarna klaarde het op en heerlijk gevaren. Begonnen op de PD om een uur te doen, vlug op de missile en de snelheden gingen omhoog. Roger nam daarna het ongeluk over en maakte schade aan z'n boot op de terugweg.

Gevaren met een gemodificeerde voorloper van de slingshot van 20 cm. Volgens mij een prima vin voor de 5.6. Voor de 6.3 denk ik een tikkie te klein.

Ook de 6.3 vind ik niet ideaal voor de misille xs, ik vind het echt een boardje voor de 5.6.

After yesterday's great session I wanted to have a go on the Rockstar before we would head back for Holland, so I was on the water at 6 AM. The wind was more gusty, less strong and even broader, so unfortunately it ruined the spot a bit as the rolling swell was picking up very soon. After about 6 runs we decided to go back as the conditions were not improving and we had to drive home (10 hours). It was nice sailing the mXr Rockstar again after sailing it the very first time this winter. It is so comfortable to sail in both flat water and big chop. It gives a lot of confidence to slingshot yourself into choppy waters. Still managed quite a good peak speed which surprised me as it was way too broad, on the other hand it eats chop so it should do well. Ian was there as well and he hit some good gusts and it looked pretty fast. I just missed out on most of them during my runs. Maybe he got lucky with the remaining 2 hours before the wind would die off totally and could pull off a good average anyway.
