Queens Beach, QLD, AU Went out on the Kode 113 and for a change 7.2 H2. Soon became very overloaded and switched to 6.1 Fusion. Found I had to to much board so out came the FSW 102. After all that I was stuffed ( 7.2 is very hard work in the chop ) so went home for a swim in the pool and an ice cold beer. :)

Queens Beach, QLD, AU --->> Cross 104 + 6.5 rapidfire + 5.8 Ezzy wave

Great day cut short by straining my back walking around on the beach. Tried to carry on but couldn't. Hurt too much.

Some huge, huge swells out there today. Great sailing.

Golden Beach, QLD, AU. N NE 8-15kts, great afternoons sail, decided not to go to the lake as the forecast was not that good but it seems the wind came in up there. Futura 111, Koncept 7.5 and Venom 40. Do you Redcliffe boys want us to sent down a few cans of HTFU lol.

Lake Cootharaba, QLD, AU  What another awesome day at the lake.  Arrived at lunchtime and wind was alreaady a constant 12 knots Chris was out on his 7.8 but came in to change to 7.0 so I knew it would be as windy as last sunday so rigged the 5.7 Koncept and JP 84 with 29fin.

Got on the water about 12.30pm did the first hr with Chris and then we went in and had some lunch.  Was underpowered at times so thought this hour wasnt that great.  Went back out at 2pm sailed to 3pm and this was the best hr, exactly like last week (best hr was between 2-3pm).  Lake was even flatter than last week so thought I might as well keep going for some distance.  The last 15 nautical miles was a bit underdone again and everyone had gone home then I spotted Anne still out so decided to keep going she needed to do 6nm and I still needed to do 10nm to get a PB and we just managed to squeeze it in before the wind promptly switched off at 5.20pm.

This definitely felt like my easiest distance attempt so far was just so comfortable most of the time cruising about 4km runs at a time.Cool

Where were the rest of you Vikings! left it up to the girls to bring the team distance up for the monthWink

Greg is in Townsville visiting Grandkids.

Knut you need to come up in a NE. SE can be choppy and holey. The sail last Sunday and today makes it worth all the times we have driven up and there has been no wind

Knut

It is but a distant memory Ragner.  Trouble is it is never windy enough up there for us heavy weights. I need some light big gear to get a complete afternoon sail at the lake. After living on the 6.1 at queens........don't know, That Kelly just keeps pulling away longer and longer. So are a few others for that matter...Helga ( Great distance and NM ) you must have been really motoring today. I wonder if it was futher than Greg's record ? that would cause a bit of upset in the house.
