Rigged 94l.5.2. Was overpowered a lot of the time but wary of going too small in case wind dropped. Spilling wind on quite a few runs, and got blown out a couple of time and felt lucky not to hurt myself or break gear. A good few turned up and had a good river blast. Chop not as big as I expected so enjoyable sail. Just about got back as wind dropped. One strong current running. Strangely best speeds were this side rather than far side where much smoother, but guess less wind. SOme cracking turns in smooth water. Good fun had by all except Mark S who only had a few runs, Swainey and Daz who struggled in falling wind and Corin who did not get out at all.

2nd day at Kirby and better but bloody dangerous I thought ! very broad with big chop -- hard to get 10 sec runs -- had some big crashes -- but most people were crashing wile trying to count to 10 secs -- stayed late waiting for sea to go away --much easier -rigged 6.3 and good fun but job to get a good run off the corner because of traffic ( hopy skippy boys even sillier sport than ours)

Finished the day very bashed about but happy with Max speed PB Smile

Improved my longboard times (with a max gps reading of 31.335)  with a late afternoon session at Kirby and so close to getting ahead of Bob C !!! ran out of wind and light and lots of freestylers out too :( but great fun trying :) will take my big kit there again !!!

Well done Steve on your PB's :) we had some hardcore conditions at Kirby but didn't have big enough balls to go for it today in the big wind - too broad and bumpy and hit my head on the wall first run done and put me off :( but managed over 31 kts on my raceboard :)
