4710 days ago Yesterday it was Lyn's Navi that froze, but today it was mine....Thankfully we both carry a Garmin as a backup.....Lyn will have to sacrifice a couple of jelly beans to me, but after Kel posts neither of us will have any. ....The wind only hung about for a bit more than an hour and we were both thankfull to get a session.
I just used the old NP Package Tape and the S/cross.

4710 days ago Tinaroo Dam in very difficult conditions. ...When we arrived there was just about nil wind and we were sure it would be a non event....However after a while some gusts appeared so we rigged and went out. Very, very gusty with constant wind changes. Still it was a beaut arvo and water was warm.
I used my old 6.6m Loft 02 that is covered with tape and the 105l Screamer. A good start to 2012.

Nice way to start the year! Did not look as good this morning as when I went to grab my 7.3 (still rigged from last year) i found the mast had broken in the night Must remember to release the downhaul next time. Luckilly Cams sail was covered in bat Sh*t so I had to wash it for him!
Used NP 7.0 Evo 111 Isonic 96 and Venom 34

4710 days ago 1 categories Port Douglas, QLD, AU.Port news.. Raided my nephews quiver and stole his' uni joint' as mine is now living in wheelie bin after being trashed last session.Hit the beach about 330 and saw a kite stuck in a tree,a good sign if you are a windsurfer, rev counter was on about 20kts and looked a solid 25 out wide, unusual for this time of year.Rigged 6.6m north sail cranked down hard on trusty 101 future with 38 nitro fin,..Blasted all arvo in very choppy sea was abit hard to do good gybes as most of them where out of control due to lack of smooth water, had two crashas due to my poor sailing ability, but over all it was one of the best sail i have had for ages..Looking forward to less work and more sailing this year,Cheers Ed..

4710 days ago Decided 01st Jan better take the family out so loaded up my mum and little girl Ally + my gear. Got to the beach blowing nicely no-one about. Rigged my 6.6 should have gone 5.9 it was one of thoses out of control crash and bash sessions for me; luckly I and my gear are intact. Tried my new Venom fin for the first time WOW now I know what its like to use a good fin makes life so much easier. Anyway may there be many more windy days like this one for 2012.
Happy new year to you all.
