What a frustrating place Felixstowe is to live :( all this wind and nowhere fast near and handy !!! My mate Neil rang and said he was going to Alton our local puddle sorry reservoir and after going there last January vowed never to go again a veiw not changed by this visit !!! The wind was done the lake but as usual very up and down and the water is oh so'oooooooo cold only 4 degrees :( I rigged 7m like Neil and went for it and made 27 kts on the first run across but the water was very choppy and the wind very up and down so nothing new there :( The res. is very narrow only 500/600 m wide so getting 10 sec runs is hard in this direction. The highlight of the day was a mega double rainbow, followed by heavy rain and strong gusts which we had to sit out !!! and it was good to met up with a few mates and then Mag and I went for a nice walk along the banks in the afternoon - that sure beats the windsurfing !!!

Sacked rugby off to go for a sail with my dad - bloody cold but great conditions most of the time with some good swell lines to find my way through when bearing off.  Pretty hairy but good to get the adrenaline pumping.
