Nice sail today, was hooking in on the bank in front of the yacht club it was nice and flat and you could hold it for a good 10 sec.
I have been trying some new fins lately Maui Ultra Fin Slalom Weed 28 and 30 and every sail they have been getting better. Initially they took a bit of getting used to as i was set on the riding style of my old fins, but now i am starting to unlock the feel of these. The first thing i really noticed was their upwind capabilities, which for a weed fin is exceptional, no more complaining that weed fins don't point, these definately do!! Today was the first real wind day i got to push them and managed to squeeze out a 39, in far from ideal condtions pretty happy with that. They give you a nice feel under your feet, and are very easy to read, they like to be driven and let the board release very early. All in all very happy and am looking forward to trying their new speed and weed fins!!
These are a very affordable fin thanks to the Aussie dollar and are available from The Zu Boards Sports in Melbourne, worth a look!!!With the weed craze thats around at the momment thanks to lake Goerge, your gunna need one sooner or later
