Billy Green Island (1426km): Just a quick sesh after work.. first time on the new 94 kode.. a little smaller than im used to.. fin kept poping out.. spend most of the time adjusting the harnessline positions getting a feel for the board.. Green Island, QLD, AU
Toody (4147km): Green Island, QLD, AU Kode 94, 6.0 Gator Quick couple runs !!
Should be some big numbers coming through shortly from Cam and Kel !!
dr cam (41674km): Green IS 15-19knot SE Grey Skies /rough seas.Gear RRD X fire 105 Lessacher 32 30o rake le wo duo weed RSR e2 7.8 then Overdrive 7.5 First Run out to test the new fin -wasnt sure how it would work but I neednt have worried -rock solid. 2nd run out got 1/2 way to Arlington Reef then the starboard tack harness line snapped in half AHHRRRR-had to return to the Island & sort ... 3rd run out again heading to Arlington -loud gunshot noise & brand new NP X65 snapped in half AHHRRRrrr Rescued by Dr Gav (lucky he was on the island with his racing CAT) then loaned Toody's brand new Severne Overdrive 7.5 .The overdrive is a sweet sail & the "wing"really does feel like its working . All in all a mixed day but good fun .Unfortunately missed the best conditions on Arlington with all the dramas ... Got back to the island late in the arvo to find Toody trying to move a large Hammerhead away from the flagged area on the Green Island beach -bizarre !!!
Kel (36803km): Green Island Another Great day at the island, really settled in with my new Isonic and overdrive now, going fast is easy when you have so much control. Todays best hour was out in the open ocean between green and arlinton as the tide was too low for the reef flat. Gps problems today, only the first 1.5 hrs of the session on the backup gps and my new gps has locked up! Both Gps stopped about the same time, the new one has 69ks on the screen and the backup stopped at 67ks, i didnt have any big stack's and the gps's are in seperate bags on each arm, recently updated the firmwear on both, and now max speeds and 10sec are not saving. Hopefully i can retreve the rest of the data when it goes flat, had a go at Nm and alpha's, another hr and clocked up 100Ks in the arvo so I hope it's not lost! Used Isonic 2012 107 carbon, Sting 38 and Serverne Overdrive 7.5
Troppo (6331km): Spreckelsville, HI, US
went out with the intention of getting our NM and alpha up a bit, and maybe wrangling some balls. did two hell runs totally maxed on 6.3 and decided my front teeth were way to valuable. flat water would have been a different story.
today its been close to 40knots i reckon maxed out on 4.2m |
