Clifton Beach, QLD, AU Wind SE 15-20knots Gear ISO 80 venom 32 RSR E2 7.0

Quick blast off the beach after work .

Found some nice water on the reef flats in front of double island ~ 5klms off shore from my home beach break.Had a ball before the tide retreated .

Lots of turtles today -a couple of close calls kept me focussedSealedTongue out

iS117W, 8.6 Blade, 46 Sting II - Lammermoor Beach, QLD, AU E 10 - 15kn

f@#king wind - can't win a trick.  It was looking good initially but alas and true to form it died out just as I hit the water.  Big effort keeping it on the plane although am carrying a built-in weight jacket at moment.  Missed a very big barra (4ft) lolling on the surface by about 2 feet - scared the crap out of me.

Well...what a great day .  Ed called last night and said he was thinking of going over with Firie and Kel.....so on the phone to my coach

Hoppy Bob for confirmation......and that was a big yes from him so away we went.  Hoppy Bob came over to take some photos for us all

and even fixed Ed's GPS on the way over. (is there nothing he can't do??)  Tide was good all day and we were able to get on to the southern

side for a couple of runs. Kel and Ed are machines and sailed pretty much all day .....but this 'black duck' sooked out with sore hands

not to long after lunch. (you can tell the workers)      Great day and thank you Hopy Bob and Firie for the e-mail.

Billy sorry we didn't get round to checking with you..talk to you soon.

What an absolute ball tearer of a day, great mates, great spot, great sunny skies and the best looking kiteboarder I think I've ever seen Tongue out

I had high hopes a speed Pb but na, wind wasn't what we hoped and water not as smooth as can be. I tried all day with a bit of competative leap frogging with Kel, one run we downwinded through the swells out through the channel for over a couple of nm's with nothing between us at the end, awesome fun. Actually the open water downwinders was fav part. Saw lots of fish, turtles and even a reef shark but no more whales.

Mobs of thanks to Kelly, Hoppy, Freddy and Eddy Smile

Thanks for the photos Hoppy Cool

Billy I was having too much fun to worry about the GoPro, I did have it on for a couple of long downwinders, an extreemly close up of the Red Devil going the other way and unfortuanly a foggy long downwinder next to the Red Devil (I didn't dry my anti fog strips the day before). I'll still knock up a short vid but don't expect a hollywood production Undecided

Gaz, Kel's fast GPS froze up, got to love supper glue Wink We sailed flat out racing each other down wind for about 2 Nm, side by side the whole way, no winners but grinners Cool

Kel,

I only just realised you sailed 170kms yesterday - big effort.  I know I would have been cramping the whole 1100km home if I'd done it Wink
