After yesterdays nightmare where it didn't stop raining with thunder and lightning and speed course more like a wave sailing venue I was hoping for a better day !!! It didn't start off brilliantly as it was still raining this morning when we woke up in our lovely spot at Peyraic-de-Mer but we made an early start and were on the beach at the wooden jetty in La Franqui at 9:45 :) and there were a few others already there - always a good sign :) We even risked parking on the wet beach and got away with it. With the wind 20 mph + and forecast to drop during the day it was never windy enough for my speedboard but had fun on the Falcon 80 but the wind was up and down and really broad making getting back upwind interesting as you ended a good distance offshore !!! The course was abit bumpy with small surfy waves rolling in every now and the to keep you on your toes but I managed several mile runs and was pleased with the 32 kt one but need to work on my gybes !!! The sun even tried to come out late afternoon :)

Big shadow at Dip so off the Fludyers to find five already out including a trio of Hurrels. Rigged 6m/94m and just about planing for a couple of runs then wind quickly increased and overpowered, but afraid to change down in case wind dropped and current took me round point, like it almost did to Chris. Few more turned up, though later ones missed the wind.

Sea bit choppy and board too bouncy; guys on old narrow gear sailing faster and cutting through chop. Wind eased then getting washed down a few groynes several times. Good blasting when wind was up. 7m would have been OK, but no one could be bothered.
