Holloways Beach, QLD, AU

Another fun day at the beach, still rough in the arvo but not as bad as yesterday, wind was stronger and a little more consistant but with no flat water and the swell lines not lining up the Nm and higher speeds were out of reach for me today. Still very exciting and great to get such good wind in October.

Used 2012 Isonic 90, Overdrive 6.7 and a 34 C3 Sting2.Cool

Big thanks to the Captn for loaning me his second GPS for the last hour I was on the water. Finally cracked 25knts, then I have to admit the poofoo valve got the better of me. It was a pretty wild ride at times. Im coming for you Freddy...  Real good to see Firie Bob out on the water too.

104 Screamer, 6.2 Revolution on negative outhaul but a bucket load of downhaul (a race sail when you dont have a race sailWink)

KA72, Holloways Beach, QLD, AU

Got home from 3 days camping and the wind was blowing, yippy. Had a great sail with Billy and Kel, really enjoyed it but had to give it away in the end as not fit enough. Happy with Nm but should have kept going, had a brain fade when I saw Kel so went upwind for a fly by, RealSpeed gave me a little over 29, oh well Smile

I just updated my Nm after Dylan (KA72) looked at my file so that's a beach Pb for me Cool

Carbon Art SL58, Venom 34, 6.8 Loft Switchblade, bordies and a big grin Smile

Hey Cam - No mate, not what I would call ideal conditions, however I reckon I could think of one or two worse alternatives to spend the day!  Hoppy  - one step at a time mate. Ill knock of Freddy of his perch and then I figured I'd work my way towards the top end of the fieldWink. Hey Kel, Freedy actually rang me at 330 to say that due to the coditions he wasnt going to risk his freshly washed hair - Dont figure. I guess when the coach is away....Tongue out

News from Port..Had a nice easy sail yesterday arvo, there where five boards on the water everyone had a fun session..Today was a different story, got to beach around 230 oclock my good friend Simone was out carving it up on her carbon art wave board which is about the same size as your average skate board..Decided to clip the wings on the Falcon and rig a small sail , have never used a small sail on this board, today looked like a good day to rig trusty old 5.4m aeroteck. have not used this sail in Port Douglas for 2 seasons..Did one tune up lap,and settled in to one of the best sails i have had in a long time,Sailed south to Kite beach in search of some flat water,But it was a bit to late in the day and the bay was totaly chopped up for as far as the eye could see,Falcon felt surprisingly confortable and was very happy blasting in 20 to 25kts with small rig.. Sailed till the sun went down, then blasted home burnt out but happy..101lt Fanatic Falcon 5.4m aeroteck sail 36 nitro free ride fin..GPS won't down load to card for some reason so carn't put readings on computer.GPS had 28.45 on the dial and would have sailed the the usual amount i do in a arvo session about 70km...Chgeers Ed..

Hey Bob,

Downloaded your track from KA72 and realspeed gives you a 29.07kn Nm.  All your other numbers match between the two programmes.  Maybe Dylan can look at it.  Shame you had those two lulls too as you started off really well on the run.  Either way bet it was a real butt clencher.

Mark I ordered it while in WA end of last year, very happy with it and honestly I can't at my level notice any performance drop from my old Blade Wink

I have the latest 5.8 switchblade unused & untried, really looking forward to using it but don't know when, no WA trip this year Frown
