NSW GPS Team Challenge Day

iSonic 97, Mauisails Titan 6.5 / Gaastra Pulse 5.7, MUF Speed Weed 24 / MUF Slalom 34 - Wind NE 20-25 kts

What a perfect day!  Firstly well done to Larko and Gabe for motivating us all to get up to Booti Point.  And great to see my team mate Mick make it up, and ripping on his new little board.

Forecast was for another strong NE, just like the last two Saturdays, that have failed to appear.  But today made up for it!  We got there at noon and it was already cranking.  Sent Rachel out for a go on the 5.0 and she was blown off the water.  Unlucky for her to miss out on a sail, but great for me.  Tried the speed weed 24 first but too bumpy out the back and was loosing grip over the top of the chop.  Swapped over the the 34 slalom and perfect from then on.  Kept on building and dropped down to the old 5.7 for some more fun runs.

Topped the day off with some fun blasts with my five year old hanging off the harness lines while I was planing at about 20 kts!  See pics below.  He loved it!

The Forster guys are lucky to have that place on their back doorstep.  Will definitely be back over Christmas.  Great to meet a heap of Marauders and Cockies that i hadn't met before, in a fun relaxed day where everyone was just having fun sailing.

25 NE all day.I must /was playing very safe today looking at the above results, but apart from results Wallis Lake is a top place to slalom

sail and I hope that another general call for slalom sailors from far and away to attend. The track down from the main road is rough as guts

may be 200 metres tops and was slow going being careful. (its habit forming and clicks in around 25 for me).Top spot. Ill be back.

Swansea caravan park, NSW, AU used 44 CA speed board 6.6m maui 21cm C3.

What a day and what a spot the sand islands in lake macquarie are just unreal. so much potential if we can get a bit more wind can definatly do 40 knots. I had 37.8 peak but has droped it down heaps bugger.

happy with that alpha on a speed board and hard doing 80km on that board.

nice to be sailing with Greg again and also walshy and the lake mac people. Shame Nick only had a quick sail.
