7.3m GPS + 99 Falcon + 36cm Meanline

Short, Sharp session with Dion at TGreen. Choppy as a bastard on the incoming tide - sailed east side of speed strip as the tide was too high for the speed strip.

Sail and fin were too big......at times I was way too overpowered.............stuck it out but was getting tired quick.   I recently got a bunch of caspar speed fins off MArk.J and decided to give the 33cm a go. Wow, so easy to sail overpowered - shit upwind on a board of this size unless lit up, but i was sailing quite tentatively upwind over the shallow sandbank. Downwind runs through chop there was soooo much control with the Caspar. Will use them more in future rather than the slalom fins when the wind is really in. Unfortunately the wind was dying, so the fastest speed was on the 36cm slalom fin and the speed fin didnt get a chance to do a run fully lit to show it's colours.

Havent sailed the TGreen for a while - so nice to be out of the Queens Lake mud and sail in clear water with a sandy bottom.

Dion was killing it today on his JP 49cm Speed Board, he was slaying it up and down the bar with control and going really, realy quick.

Sailing Club,Wallis Lake, NSW, AU

Late sail. Waited for the N'easter to fill in at Booti, but did't happen. Up sticks and up to the Sailing Club, where the NNE wind was coming in.

Hot and smokey NNE wind at 15-25k, ripping thru the channel out wide.Rigged my not so fast stuff. 6.0GTX Hawk Ltd. 93,Finworks 11.5" weedy. Joined by Pete, Rob, Geoff and Matt, for a nice quick blast. Fairly flat and shallow, as well as weedy, but nice fun. Geoff had to bog it back home after the wind backed off. I'm sure it was worth it!

 GO MARAUDERS!!!

Lake Disappointment, ACT

Once again, after gusting to 40 kts all day, finally finished work and sat around for 2 hours waiting for the only gust that I could plane on.

I have spent more time on the new board as a submarine captain, than actually sailing...

anyone know of any well paid jobs near Wellington Point?

6.5 GTX, 101 Falcon, 28cm BP Weedspeed.  Started at Booti Point, very light but a 20kt gutst came through for about 20min and caught the end of it and then nothing except for the wind we could see at the top of the lake.  Bill, Ela and Anton stayed at the Point while we moved up to the Sailing Club to chase more wind.

Sooo much windier up there, easily 25kt + and on the 101Falcon it was hairy in the chop.  Came in after 1 run and pulled on more downhaul and a smaller weedfin, that helped with control but still scary on the big board.  Came in just before the wind disapeared.

80 SP & 92 FSW, 5.2 Hellcat

OUCH!  Got a new lesson in the definition of gusty from my local spot Wink  Holes too big to stick with 80L.  On to 92.  Maybe no more meanline on FSW for me.  Can't figure it out.  Huge spin outs as soon as I really start to power up.  One so sudden it sent me over the handle bars and nearly took the nose off the FSW.  Big ding Frown  Had the Hellcat with more downhaul than the specs, yet it still didn't look like much.  Felt awful - too much?  Not enough?  Dunno.  Gear and body malfunctions all round - waist harness riding in my arm pits causing random unhooking over chop.  Calf cramping after about the first 2 runs!!  In my front leg!!  No idea why.  Massively overpowered by the end.  Some of the most spectacular stacks I've had in a long time...

Hoping for just a simple, comfortable session sometime soon! Smile

Great speed Greg, Mark, Milsy and AJ. Sailed the town green today was a quick session like AJ. Had a ball, choppy as Adam said but great fun, clear warm water, consistent wind and sunshine, couldn't really ask for more. As for my upload, so keen to get out the house i left my SD card in the computer. Didn't even realise because my gps screen is all cloudy due to  drowning in a previos session, it dis beep though and made all the right sounds. Most Frustrating. Will always check from now on. Then it was back to work.

Awesome speed Greg!!Milsy, Big congrats on your big 16,000k's.!!

Hope your not too injured Salty!! Think of those stacks like an initiation. You don't tend to do too many of those, unless your a slow learner like me!.Your bruised confidence may take a little time to recover though.Wink The boards are repairable however.

Salty. hellcats - A2 says heaps of downhaul on Hellcats, even a touch more than recommended, and he also says minimal outhaul - just enough to put a tad of tension on the clew, but nowhere near recommended outhaul.

Also, dont ditch the $300 meanline just yet, play with your harness lines and mast track first - channell your time with Cribby.
