Today was forecast for a great SW front arriving mid morning. It was a complete fizzer with bearly 15 knots and it was high tide so I went to town to do some jobs. I noticed the wind kick in at about 3.15pm but had to finish my job before I could get back to the inlet. Got back at about 5pm and rigged while other sailors told me it was dying and I had missed it! crying

Rigged 5.8m Koncept anyhow and found it was not too bad. I would almost certainly have been better on the 6.2m but it was OK so I went for an hour and a few Alphas during the hour.

Pretty pleased with the double Alpha Nautical Mile! It looks like almost a perfect figure 8!Smile

It was good fun but as I finished the hour the wind was dying so I packed up.

Wind estimate 16-18 gusting around 20-22 sometimes maybe...

A sail after work on a fading sw wind. The low tide was good with a few out enjoying the last week of the holidays, including a few kitters. Nearly tore one a new poo hole as he jumped on the inside and flew across the top of my mast, misssing it by inches. Might put a spike up there to stop roosting bird(Men) He pissed off after that, might have been the black helmet and the steam comming out of my ears. Played in the channel for a bit then headed out into ocean for some long  5km runs along the coast. Gave up as the wind droped out and I got smashed by a piece of rogue chop on top of the 3m swell resulting in a half forward loop and no control. Ended the day at Daz,s with a drink. Wink
