Sandy Point, Vic, AU, had to take the day off to put everything in perspective. Great way to do it at Sandy Point. Started a few hours earlier in the inlet with a fresh easterly and lowish tide before Jerry arrived. A few people I never saw before with 4.7m sails and waveboards around blocking the smoother water at the bank, couldn't get a good line, but still a good sail. Even a few good gybes up in the inlet. Jerry suggested to sail at the shop in the ocean and that's where we spent  the next couple of hours (need to merge the k's). Cross offshorish, failry smooth in the beginning then mushy chop but great runs in and crystal clear water. It's definitely different to sail in the ocean. Nicely finished off with a steak and an ale at Fishy pub.

Inlet: Starboard Futura 93, Select Caspar 31, NP Hellcat 6.2, Ocean:Tabou Rocket 105, Goya 6.2

Edit: Added Ocean 33.25km session to Distance

That's a nice gybe Jak. Well done. Sounds like a worthwhile day off and trip down.

Nice Alpha Jak, I have noticed your gybing is getting better lately.

Yeah that ocean water was so clear to bad there were no waves today, but the beer at the fishy pub made up for the lack of swell Smile

Thanks guys, yes it looks it's coming slowly together with the gybes. Still need to do a wider arch.
