Burrum Heads, QLD, AU

Yet another fantastic day on the water. Hands getting blistered, feet getting cut up but smile just won't go away.

Day 3. Everything hurts. Duct tape field dressing on hands and away we go...

Took the FSW out to avoid being skunked in the lulls on the way out, then the Sputnik got left at the boatramp. Definitely not on the right kit for speed sailing.. Hit bottom 3 times and cut my feet on the walk back in. Not my finest hour, but beats a day at work anytime.

Port Douglas, QLD, AU Got down the beach for 'happy hour' 4 to 6 ' o'clock. It was one of those afternoons when it was windier than it looked,The sky was littered with angry storm clouds and the sea grey and very uninviting and the only thing on the beach was a lost dog.. Rigged 6.6m north sail and took the101 Falcon out for its first fly for the season..took a few runs to get tuned up then settled in for a session in a solid 20kts breeze..went out the back to try and light it up on a speed run but the sea was most unfriendly and the Falcon was getting very nervous, was trying to keep the board nice and trim, but it all got out of hand and i went over the handle bars and had a major wipe out 2km off shore. Fortunantly the only damage done was to my ego..gave the speed runs a miss after that.Blasted around for another hr then a lightning storm started to throw lightning bolts at the water. So it was time to bolt home...Cheers Ed

Pelican Point, WA, AU

Koncept 6.6, iSo 86, Volt 34, lucky jocks.

Woohoo, on the board for March, first sail in a month. Nearly remembered to bring everything too, everything except my shorts! Didn't want to waste an hour going home and back so just went out anyway Embarassed Jocks must be lucky (or maybe I was extra streamlined) as I got a WA 2 sec PB and my fastest speed not at Sandy Point.

iS97, 6.3RBlade, 36 F-Hot - Burrum Heads, QLD, AU 15 - 18kn

Another fabulous day on the strip sailing with a bunch of great guys and girls. Wind never really eventuated and I wish I had stayed with the 7.0 just so I could have had more oomph going off the wind.  ended up plodding all the way back down the strip when the wind completely died around 4ish.  Drove home last night and am sore from 3 big days of sailing - I don't know if I could have managed another sail today.  Hope they get some decent wind today.

Congrats to Firiebob for coming 3rd with his 5x10 yesterday (Monday 11.03) - not bad for an old bugga but he does have a red board so that's worth an extra knot Wink

EDIT - just realised I did 88.75km on Sunday and 88.51km on Monday.

Eddy.....sounds like you had a good session Monday arvo and if no gear 'broken' even better.

Your write ups are 'literary masterpieces' and always great reading...always look forward to reading them.

Once again all the very best at the dirt bike nationals.....a medal it's everything , getting back home in

one piece is the other 2 percent.
