Sailed my ass off today thinking I should go in & rig smaller as I could not hold down the 5.8 koncept & the gusty bulletts made for a challenging sail!(the forcast was for the wind to moderate) But I toughen it out came in & changed from he CA SL101 to the Kinetic Sl57 that made for a lot more controllable ride but no faster! Stayed out with Jeff then had a conference & went in for water & Almonds (no cherry ripe ) & change down, the wind seemed to drop a bit as per forecast so decided to ditch the delta as the tide had come in and fit the 32 Lessacher weedie that made sailing much more relaxing instead of sailing on the edge of the delta’s twitchy behaviour. The wind was dropping & there were more holes than gusts so bevies on the lawn while we packed up ended a great day sailing. Much better than scones jam & cream! This one’s for you Carl hope your went well, thinking about you , Take care.

First sail in quite a while. Murderous 20-odd hour flight back into country a few days ago has left me extremely jetlagged so i struggled today, but still had fun. Conditions were very flukey as expected on any Northerly at Boggy. Serious chop made starboard tack gruelling and variable wind speed forced you to choose to rig for the gusts or the lulls and made you pay either way. Definitely a challenging day for me.
Good crew turned up. Sam entertained us with some epic splats (and suicidal downwind runs - nice numbers for le'Bog anyday mate, but particularly under those conditions). Hayden ate it up including some very impressive airtime for flatwater. Leon snapped a u-joint early but got back on the horse. PJ did what PJ does best - consistent non-stop sailing for hours - suspect he is some sort of advanced sailing machine sent back from the future. Geoff got stitched up by leaving the right gear at home but still made a fist of it.
So damned tired now, but grinning. A sail fixes everything.

Arrived about 9.30 and rigged up and went out for a tester before Tricky got there. Couldn't get onto the spit yet so back and forth inside waiting. Stacked the gear and fell through the bottom panel of the 5.4 leaving a 12 inch tear. Didn't think it would make much difference so continued on. Tricky was on the spit with his delta fin and the wind was testing to say the least. I didn't see the stack but Tricky hit a new sand blob out by the oyster lease that sent him flying and skidding on his back- I thought he was waving because he's friendly. Anyway we kept it up with k/ms in mind and found the water behind the spit, down the back, was the place to be and we tried to hammer it. Was tough going though and the short, sharp bullets made for unsettling sailing. The Sputnik went tail walking a couple of times and one ending in a stack. Sammy the seal was out on the spit where he usually is on a Northerly so we had to keep a watch out for him. Back to the beach for a couple of frosties ( thanks Richard) and packed up well worn out.

4230 days ago Boggy Lake, SA, AU not much distance couldnt get the right combination went out on 4.8 NP and 75l wave board, good in the gusts not in the lulls spent too much time in the water, dropped out long walk back. Finally got it right 5.2 Hellcat on Exocet 58. north westerlies very up and down but some good runs at the end. Hardly worth downloading except happy with the speed in the conditions

Long time between sails, challenging and gusty day. Tried new fin which felt slippery, very happy with 32 knotter peak:-)

4229 days ago Good to get some wind on saturday after such a long no wind drought. Did not last log as I have lost any windsurfing fitness I had. My new fin was working well with the board think it will become the main fin for that board now.
