Boggy Lake, SA, AU

Was unsure whether to head down when I got a lunchtime call from Carl saying it was fifteen. Packed the car, dealt with some chores and belted to Boggy. Had a good sesh with the Boggy faithfull; Carl, Sam pumping out laps all afternoon, leon had been there since eight!!! Koshi came out from the woodwork, and great to see Kimba on water as well.

Condition-wise was a bare fiteeen, but I was planing well over 95% of my whole day out. Just a nice and cruisy session on my 100lt Manta, 37.5 black projects and 6.7 Overdirve. Only downside was my cams were really sticky today, have to get into the luff and see what's going on.

Nice fun session and the first in 4 weeks.  Started on the 112 and it was a bit to gusty so I took out the Godzilla with the 46 Katana.  What a great combo, it just eats chop and you can really relax through the rough stuff.  Good the catch up with Trousers, Leon and Carl.

7.7 M1 - Mistral 112 - Katana 40 then 7.7 M1 - Godzilla - Katana 46

Boggy lake 13-18

Sure is Gareth! It has to be the nicest big board I have owned and I am looking forward to how it sails with big sails as well.

Nice session guys.

Who's the knob that set fire to the bushes? Maybe some mullet-haired bogan fishermen? Hopefully they got the fright of their life when half a dozen brown snakes came racing out of it!!

On the positive, it'll clean up the winter northerly wind flow, on the negative, we've lost a very effective wind break for the rest of the year...

thanks Tricky. on occassion some nice flat sections co-incided with enough gust to keep powered on the exit allowing you a chance at getting a passable alpha (only robbing Carl of a jelly-bean by the slimest of margins! Laughing)

the burning of the wind-break is very disappointing. one of the Murray Bridge locals told me that some of the town locals held a party down there and apparently lit the lawnmower alight and pushed it into the lignums. some people...

B$%$ARD (i don't mean you Trousers taking my jelly beanWink) the buggers killing our wind break we have used for the last 20 years.  Oh well it  will grow back in another 20 yearsCry.  It is certainly colder than with the wind break in a southerly.  Sad news one of the kiters we have never seen before had a head on collision with another car on the way home and a lady in the other car passed away - RIPFrown.

Be careful driving on the roads out there...
