Nice day! Smile

WSW to SW, 18-25 knots.

Slalom board: IS87, KA Koncept 2014 6.2m, Lessacher Duo Rake 30 28cm

Speed board: IS50, KA Koncept 2014 5.4m, MXR Sym 22 widebase

The slalom and 6.2 was right in its sweetspot. Speed runs only a couple of knots less than the speed board! Lots of fun and great to find that the 2014 6.2m Koncept is as good at the rest of the 2014 range! Cool I rigged it on 230 RDM and it was really good! Last years 6.2m was my favourite but this one is even better!!!

When the wind seemed to fill in a bit, I rigged my 2014 5.4m Koncept on my 4m RDM and took it for a run on the old speed board with a large 22cm symmetrical widebase MXR fin. A bit hard to get started in the shadow of the big dune but once in the clean air it was great fun. Far from 100% powered up but felt very smooth and light in the hands. If anything the large fin was holding back top speeds but also making it a lot easier to get going and get back upwind so a good tradeoff.

Went back to the slalom board for another blast and still right in the sweet spot for this setup. Had a ball!

It been a while since I have had a 4hr session! Smile

Fun summer cruising day with Daffy and Mal and a few other bods. Quite warm and mostly sunny, yet Melbourne apparently was overcast and rained quite a lot. Funny how often that happens...

Just enough wind at the start for my slalom board and 6.4m Koncept. Once the wind picked up a little I rigged a 5.8m Koncept and sailed in on my 52L speed board for the rest of the day. I wanted to get some decent time just cruising around on my speed board, getting used to gybing it etc - effectively sailing it around like a small slalom board. Didn't even bother to check my speeds all day... There was enough wind not to get skunked as long as I stayed clear of the ever growing dunes at the top of the run.

A quick little session after work at Invy. A bit under done on the 6.6 but great fun in the chop.

Bit of a sail on the KA/ Cheeky Monkey 111 and KARace 7.1 Proto.  First time I had used the board in really rough messy WSW PPB conditions and it was very good.  The sail rocks.
