Swan Bay. SW change came is strong today and seeing Jacques and Tony being blown off the water made me rig my 4.4m Super strong squalls (nearby south channel had 50 knots gusts).. Tide very low so struggled with weed and finding flat spots... To make matters worse GPS battery went flat after 4 km's.... bugger

Really strong wind today 35-45 SSW, not the best direction for SB and a really low tide, hard to find a good ten second today.

Shouldn't have lent Tony a fin today either!!!!! and should have gone back out with him!!

PD speed 48, R4 5.6, mXr weed speed 20.

Started the session on my 23 weed fin. The fin wasn't raked enough fo the lack of water and the huge amount of weed. I struggeled to get going without picking up kilos of weed on the fin and foud it impossible to release it. I could only manage 37 peaks and was not enjoying myself t all....

Jacques was nice enouh to lend me his MXR 22 speed weed and things improved instantly. first run was 4 knots faster and soon 43 was on the dial. It was amazing how much easier it was to clear any weed that did find itself on this fin. I have the 26cm version and will very soon have the 22 !!

The mistral 73 was perfect as usual.
