Borgy (16631km): 8.5m Lightning, 114 Xfire, 40cm Carbon CF Better than expected sail! Great to see a few out and about. Good to catch up.
Nelson d Foiler (31390km): RRD Firestorm 138 with 8.5M Lightning & 46cm MFC Hard work until the wind finally kicked in for about 1/2 an hour Had a go on Col's 8.5 Avanti at the end of the day. It felt grunty & nice top end control. My 2 sec, Alpha & NM all on the Avanti Down side is you feel like you are gybing blindfolded, you can't see jack through the skrim
Scott (5272km): Futura 111, Firewing 7.8 & 36 Vector SLW - Forgot my 7m (needed not worry ), forgot my GPS (borrowed Steves ), smashed my finger in the car door (ouch, turning blue as I type! ) and then Borgy smashes me! Not happy!! Oh and the wind was a very lovely up and down breeze! Shall have to try it all again tomorrow...... maybe without the car door bit...
Annie (13417km): 7.5m T4 120Lt Firestorm, mfc44 It was hard to get motivated when no-one was planing for longer than a minute I finally rigged & put myself in the same situation as everyone else out there. It was nice to get a sail in the sun but the wind was quite disappointing & I don't do big gear well. Hopefully a better day tomorrow - Happy Easter to all, enjoy the long weekend.
Glenno (6595km): Melville Beach, WA, AU 7.5 O/D, 94 iSonic, 36 Choco. Nice to get wet in the sunshine & catch up with some of the crew. Happy Easter to all. |
