bushfire (26346km):
3757 days ago Primbee, NSW, AU W to WSW up to 20 knots or so in the gusts.
Great to be back on the water - warm too. Quite shallow today and it got shallower during the afternoon. The slimy weed is starting to grow - not good news as this stuff doesn't cut the chop. Not sure what will happen here, being a bit early for this weed to appear. I had to use quite small fins for the boards because of the low water - it just means that I had to work quite hard to trim the boards(s).
Good to sail with Terry, Darren, Anibal and Mark. As always with a westerly the wind strength was up and down and variable across the Primbee Flats. I started on the iS110 and caught some good gusts. The quite wide tail on this board rides very well across the chop.
I was itching to try out my new iS80 and I felt there might be enough wind(just), so I sailed back to shore, rerigged and got the new board out. The wind didn't play the game first up but soon the gusts appeared again. Sweeeeet board, very comfy across the chop, accelerates well and gybes like a dream. It really wanted more fin lift but that was known. Very happy with this board.
