Got out a little earlier today with Bill Anton and Rob, before the wind packed it in. A wet and typically gusty wind WSW to straight west 15-20k. A few OK runs but still too shallow in spots for decent speed. May head up to Queens with the lads on Wed. if the forecast holds.

Spent just under 1 Hour chopping up 3 small trees and moving them off Bobbs Creek Road so PHIL / MITCH & I could get to
Q/Lake for a sail.Lucky I took a Bush saw with me.
Got there and Steve was just finishing his early Morning Sess! Nice Kms Steve!
Not much wind when I was out there. Came in and Phil was heading out.
The wind then was getting stronger and more constant. ( Should have went early like Steve.

3766 days ago Budgewoi Lake, NSW, AU. Best fun ever! Sick BIC, Ezzy 9.5, Delta 24. Sailed with Mick and Larko then Wayno came out and Bruce went out as we went in.
Wind was pretty light but at least spent a good time on the plan, thanks heaps to the guys for suggestions on lifting boom up and moving mast base forward, deffinatley change things for the better hanging for more wind but aren't we all hope the northeners got good breeze.

3766 days ago Frothies Budgewoi Lake, NSW, AU. Froth, Larko, Wayno and Bruce headed out when we came in. Should of used the big gear but was looking promising when we turned up. The new spot is good and we can take off from there in South round to wsw. Cruisy sail but never powered up. 7.1 Ka race 115 Patrik 22 Delta. Go Marauders!!!

3766 days ago Budgewoi Lake, NSW, AU - New launch spot to be now known as "Frothy Point". Got there at 11.45am and Mick, Larko & Frothy were already out, looked like a nice breeze SW 14-18 knots, so I rigged my 6.5 V8 with the CA SL55 and 19cm MUF. Was good for the 1st hour or so then I came in for a break and then back out again for another session in which the wind had swung to SSW and dropped to 12-16 knots.
Had another break but went out for a 3rd time to keep Bruce company. New spot is good in the SW/SSW/S direction but needs some amenities. Good to see Frothy on the plane more than a few times and he also cracked it for a number of tacks + gybes. Well done big fella.
Miller showed us what was left of his fin after hitting the steel wheel the other day, boy he was lucky not to really hurt himself! Pete damaged his board when he hit it.
Cheers Marauders.

Of course the wind starts slowly dieing as soon as I get to the river but I did get some runs in with the gusts.
Used NP H2 7.7 and JP superlightwind 92.

Phil Bennett (4130km):
3766 days ago Queens Lake, NSW, AU THanks to Captain Mark for clearing out the fallen trees, great effort mate.
So I arrived late at Queens, as family shopping looked set to ruin my days sailing, and asI arrive every one is ready to go as the wind had died. Pretty gutted but rigged a 7.4 and chugged out. What was looking like a waste of time turned out to be the best session I've had at the lake for weeks. Superflat on the weed bank, and pretty consistent s-wester around 10-14 knots. Stoked to do near 30 knots on my big freeride sail in lightish winds. But have to admit it felt pretty sketchy. Was hoping for 30 knot top speed and 20 alpha, but near enuff will have to do
