ARooBar, Chinook, WA, US EVO 5.0 Mistral Speed 43 Curtis Speedfire 22

First day of speed season 2014/2015. Lots of changes and new beginnings.

Neil Pryde decided to sponsor me so some new sails to try out. Brand new EVO 5.0m never been wet, mega performance and pulls like a steam train. Course was tight on the first leg, too broad on the second and too tight on the third. Searched everywhere for the perfect angle but it wasn't one of those days. Happy to sail all three legs and check out the depth close to the sandbar.

It's been 2 years since I sailed ARooBar so was concerned it may have changed for the worse. Fortunately it's better than ever with more areas to sail at different tide levels. Wasn't sure if I could still go fast after going blind earlier this year and undergoing some corrective operations. Now I know I haven't lost it and everything was a success. Launched it a few times deep in the chop to see if I had what it takes....boy it was bumpy but a 43.84 peak wasn't too shabby. 

Looks like the wind is back and the next few weeks show lots of promise. Had the course to myself today, billy no mates!
