Diablo (1611km): First sail of the season. No blistering speeds just blistering hands after an 8 month break. Actually not that blistered because the arms gave out pretty soon so there was not a huge amount of sailing done. Great to get out for a sail and catch up with many other doing the same. jay rey (5390km): melville beach.jpss/118.rss mk6/7.8.jp/36.weedy first time out since april and it feels like it now.new sail to play with so at least no cobwebs to deal with.the craw out aswell with gps failure.nice pb again ray gunlooking forward to getting back a bit of fitness and {tow}. | ||||||||||||||||||
ray gun (14091km): Pelican Point, Isonic 127, Overdrive 8.5, VoltII 44. Great session only made a bit ugly by the 100's of yatchs out making the water a mess and having to play dodge with them. The Pb the other day wasn't a fluke. Rigged big but with a bit more downhaul was nicely lite in the gusts and powered up for 3/4 of the sail. Came in for a break after a couple of hours. didn't miss a gybe the whole time. Headed back out but boats were getting worse and after dropping my first couple of gybes I thought I would call it. Awesome day on the water with the usual (first summer breeze they all come out) kit getting dusted off on the beach. |
