I counted 6 windsurfers out today. Struggled to get going early and changed to 32 lessacher. The sxs90 was the wrong choice too, but left the Falcon home. With the wind down there was a nice mirror patch out by oyster lease number 2 and in for another fin change. This time the BP S32 upright and it was good with the board riding higher. Was starting to have fun until the dreaded weed washed over the spit and spoiled my fun. In for another fin, this time the BP28 weedy. The wind had picked up to 15-17knots but the weed was relentless and the weedies were failing. Good workout with Tricky,Simon, Luke, Sam,Ben and Chris.

3609 days ago What a loverly cruze, Rigged the 6.6 Koncept on tthe CA SL101 & 32 Lessacher Duo Weedie, did some nice long 25k runs on some smooooth water. Once you got on the plan it was so relaxing, but pumping back on the plan after every jibe was hard work. The wind felt like it kicked in an hour after tide turn so came in & plugged on the Isonic87 with Mother Christmas's new Tribal SW29 Got a the Peak & 10sec on the Isonic all others on the CA The wind just kept teasing all day feeling like it was going to kick but nup, next time Great day with Hoppy & Simon finished with a frothie.

3609 days ago Morning session at LG on the ISonic 94 rigged with 6m Gaastra Vapour and weedie. Checked out the depth between the spit and island. A couple of inches clearance so went for it followed by Chris who had the same fin. His logic being that if I crushed he could pull out. He followed my sand trail so I think we were playing russian roulette. My body decided that a 67 year old should not be out in the even stronger conditions in the afternoon so I dutifully obeyed and am now looking forward to tomorrow. Similar conditions are predicted.

3608 days ago Another very short sail had to get back to pack up the cats to get them back to Nairne. Pitty as the wind was just starting to fill in nicely. Using a 15 year old 7.5m sail as i am waiting for my new 7 meter sails to arrive. Dird not sail to bad could have done with an extra cm of downhaul.

3608 days ago LG from cockys but sailed up the top above drift.
Sse 20 to 30, F2 sxs and missile, 25 vector weedy, 4.9 loft blade.
had a look dpwnwind on the sxs for the first session and after daffy turned up grabbed the missile for its first run forever.
was happy to be pulling off all my gybes on the missile straight away and getting good peaks.
on the last session had a few times when just couldn't get weed of the vector even jumping right out of the water this is the first 40 degree ive used as normally on 45s. having a fat lump trying to start on a 52 litre board certainly didn't help.
still windy next few days but on arvo shift. john and max are turning up today as well.
