3603 days ago Lake George, SA, AU SE wind 25-35 knots /super chopped up water .Gear JP speed 50 /RSR E 4 5.8 /Tribal Speed weed 23.
Fantastic Day but hard work .Wind was super strong so getting to the water was a challenge to begin the session with .
Spent the first HR down around the Islands but no flat water-tight rolling chop so speeds were mid 38s only .
Tacked up wind to where the SA boys were sailing & had an immediate improvement in numbers -kept hitting the wall at just over 41 knots.
Tried a NM run & noticed the water to be relatively smooth up wind from Cocky's so had a quick rest /refuel then tried some runs .
Awesome fun -42.8 1st run then 43.1 then 43.44 .Stoked but almost depleted of any reserves .
Must say the Tribal SW 23 is awesome-absolutely rock solid despite the water state .Let go once only the entire day & that was after I scraped a rock taking off in too shallow water & nicked the tip .
Overall fantastic fun & stoked to get a PB

Nice little afternoon blast with the boys. Wind 15-18kNts. SB Formula 155, 7.5 Ezzy. Nicely powered up, probably nearing the upper limit for this combo in chop, was getting a bit flighty at times. Not enough to really have a decent run on a slalom board.

Frst sail for the year. Had planned to go to Port earlier in the day but the forecast wasn’t so good, so switched to Holloways at the last minute. The day started off a little light but filled in later in the afternoon. Batten repair required before next session. Great to catch up with the Holloways beach mob.

First up - Dr Cam. Sensational effort, not only at LG, but getting your gear through the airports. Well done on achieving your PB.
Fast Fred called mid morning to say thet tha mountain men, James and Ian hand changed their mind's about heading to Port Douglas and had instead landed in our part of the country and where wondering why we wer'nt at the beach yet. Needless too say I had my hands full of resin (repairng a delaminated Is90) and wasnt goint to make it that early anyway, so Freddy decided to take on the hospitality clause on our Sheldon inspired friendship contract and headed out early. Aparently the seabreeze was in and it was on, for young and old. Meanwhile I was keeping an eye on Seabreeze which showed high tide was still due, the Low Isles and Arlingtion Reef reading steadily dropping out from a consistent 20knts to 10knts - thinking that this could be a short arvo with the lads on the beach today. Might just get the final layer down on this board yet!!
Hit the beach about 40mins later than expected and arrived to see Hoppybob, Ian, James,Tony and Fred all standing around and not one whitecap on the horizon - the lady had totally deserted us. Unlike yesterdays conditions, where she belted us with a very rough open ocean. An hour of banter and rib tickling humour passed and we could just make out the caps staring to build out wide. The Arlington reading was slowly increasing, which meant it was rigging time, as the Lady would be home in the next hour. We ended up with a late 13-15knt seabreeze but with a wind line some 300 mteres out, with light fluttery shite on the inside which made coming back to shore considerably challenging.
All up, a pleasent afternoon had. Every one was thankful that the day hadnt been wasted. The Captn (Kel) made an appearance after gaining an repreave from renovation duties and we all left with handful each of Mareeba Mangos - THANKYOU Ian.
