Boggy Lake, SA, AU

Bog made us work for it today, blowing hard from 11 to 12, then nothing for a few hours so we played find-Sam's-GPS-in-long-grass for a while.

Then it kicked, bringing lumpy with over 20kt gusts. Mostly on the Mantra 100l, GP2 6.0 and S09/35cm, but I did sub in the Fanatic with a 32BP, and even a Hellcat 5.2 at after an hour os so. All over the shop, but had fun with the usuals.

[edit: Wow, pb for things! Awesome. Certainly wasn't good gybing weather today, that surprises me!]

Bog lake. Had a fun day with carl pj and trousers. Also shane and nicola  sailed the morning but we were too lazy to join shane. Well done trousers on your Pbs. i felt to be gybing like shit today but numbers suggest not? Almost my pb alpha for bog. Very unexpected just like you trousers.

Fun day at boggy lake. Got there early enough to have a port, have a fish, talk $hit and catch up with the boys but it looked like the wind would blow earlier than expected. Like trousers said it blew for one hour just enough time for us to think about rigging and doing it and then dropped. Lucky for us a couple of hours later it cranked in again. Stronger than expected - some of the gusts mid 20's. Had fun cruising up the top and headed back to shore for a drink. By the time we headed back out a squall came through and the chop increased. It didn't last for long so we headed back up the top for one last cruise. Great day 😃. Boggy lake - 20 to 25 at times. Patrik 87 / 6.6 hot sails gps and black project r325

Cheers lads, was a pretty good day considering how sketchy the conditions were. Too little wind, too much wind, too much chop... we're just like Goldilocks!

I got caught out the back near the big lake in some serious chop/rollers in a heavy squall.  After a few hours being overpowered I was really tiring quickly and kept going over the handlebars trying to waterstart. After three or so rag-dolls I started to get concerned about how exactly I was going to get back to shore when the wind dropped just enough for me to get up without the ragdoll, and let me make a mercy dash home. A wise man would have parked it then, but I squeezed a few more runs which just happened to include my PB alpha!
