Victoria Point, QLD, AU

Epic afternoon at Vic Point, more bump and jump than blasting.  Went out first with Hawk 110 and xtype 5.4 but got too much so changed to 94L FSW much slower but in control.

15-25kts SE to S 107/7.8/38Z before lunch 87/7/34DW after lunch Mission was the Hour today with Leo, and to support Brads distance day. 1st time on the lake for me with the slalom gear. It's full of holes and shifty in a SEr. Still a nice place to sail, water is mostly flat and runs are super long. Best to be a little overpowered so you can get thru the holes. Did 2 x 1hr attempts. First both Leo and I on big gear. Did a 24. Leo crashed with 5mins to go breaking his boom clew. Lunch break, then out again for another hour attempt on the 87/7/34. Leo on 97/7, wow he's quick on that kit until he tires in the last 20mins or so. 2nd 1hr went ok, Dropped one gybe and came off the plane for 30sec in one hole. Got a 24.8, Leo 26.3 but he also dropped a gybe at the end. Met up with Brad a few times but couldn't keep up as usual. Big congrats to Brad for doing his big kms. All up a successful and enjoyable day. Enjoyed the couple of beers too with the crew.

Missions for the day were distance & freerace. Almost abandoned the distance misssion cause lack of wind in the morning. Very difficult day with plenty of obsticals to overcome. Crashed in morning skinned both shins, had a boom clip explode while chasing Steve & Leo around & broke a harness line at end of day. Coupled with the gusty lake conditions made for a long hard day.

Thanks to Fyfee for sorting out my tracks
