iS107, 7.8RBlade, 38 CL Sl2 - Lammermoor Beach, QLD, AU E 14-18kn

Wasted a good 40minutes rigging the 7.0 and going for one slogging run on the iS90 / 7.0 - wind had backed off by the time I hit the water.  Came in and grabbe the 107/7.8 and had a great sail.  Pushed for an hour but bloody harness hook snapped 15minutes from end.  Could still use it but had to nurse it somewhat.  Happy with the hour all things considered.

Lake Tinaroo, QLD, AU

Exocet TB100, Severne 7m, ML 36 cm

James, Curl, Kim and I sailed Tinaroo this morning.  Wind gusts, wind shifts, and rain, lots or Tinaroo drizzle. Broke a boom mast clamp rope in an over the front event. Despite that lot, I still managed to get a few good runs.  They say it will be dryer tomorrow for the return.    Herb and Hopy Bob turned up for a chat and bringing more rain with them. Just after they left,  the rain stoped and we had the strongest wind of the day.

Lake Tinaroo, QLD, AU Great day at Tinaroo, started a bit slow ~ 10-15 kn and a bit of rain , but as it cleared wind came in nicely to 15-20 kn with an odd 25 kn gust. Lake has really come up ~ 90% now, but water very nice and clean. 4 of us sailing today. Saw Herb, Bob and Hans -- the three legends or the three wise men !! all resting from sailing today.

Mackay, QLD, AU

Fading wind all day, I knew it was likely to be 7.5 weather, but needed to christen the new 6.5 Ezzy Lion so rigged it. Underpowered big time. The odd planing run on the Hawk 123, changed up to the barn door and was able to pump it onto the plane and enjoy a cruisey run. Very happy with the new sail, can't wait to match it up with the CA.

Glad you guys got a sail in on the lake today ,as it has a' wet day no play 'down here on the coast..Thought 'Fast Freddie' and 'Bad Boy Billy' would of had a crack at it as well...speeds looked good...Glad to see the three wise men are back on the scene.Hey Snags i have broken them as well you have to wonder how it can happen as they are meant to be '316 stainless steal, think mine broke where it was welded on to the spreader bar...

Ed, Nothing to do with metal alloy type but rather metal fatigue.  Constant loading and unloading in the ocean fatigues them quicker than flat water sailing.  At a guess this is probably my 8th or 9th bar now.

Snags that is a good collection of scrap metal.
