kato (37642km): A great sail at Invy with Pete and Ado. A rare direction with a high tide meant that we could sail the length of the Inlet for a few hrs ,so Pete and I set off for 8.5km long reaches. A typical run went like this, lots of wind /crazy chop, waves and no fun at the entrance to not much wind in the middle and ended with small chop and great wind smile on the dial at the end. Finished the day sailing with Ado chasing Alphas at the entrance. Stuffed now Sl66,Koncept 7.5, Lessacher 38 weedie
Peter Johnston (8869km): Inverloch, VIC, AU Cold day out with a few of the Invy crew and Kato and Ado from the Pit Crew. Remind me never to try to follow Kato on one of his missions again... "Lets do an hour by going up and down the full length of the inlet" says Craig. All very well except much of it contained bone-crunching steep chop. My whole body feels somewhat pulverised and pummelled and I suspect that even a couple of teeth shook out... Great to see so many people out on the water. The hour was a bit of challenge also as the breeze was quite holey and I came off the plane a few times. Also, getting used to a new (ex Spotty) sail in which the cams wouldn't rotate without a kick, hence gybes a bit dodgy... Quite rooted now but should sleep well. CA SL 53 with C3 Venom 34cm and KA Race 6.3.
Ado (4489km): Autmn play at Invy with Craig and Peter. So much fun. Big smiling faces! CA SL55, KA Koncept 2015 6.6, C3 Viper 30. |
