F2SXXS, FL4.5/3.4, 28. Melville. Least fun sail that I have had in a long time. Sit in van and wait for break in the rain. Rig 4.5. First run way overpowered. Even getting slammed trying to waterstart. Eventually sail back in unhooked and sheeted out most of the way. Sit out a few more rain squalls. Rig the 3.4 so I could survive the squalls. Spend 20mins standing in the freezing water waiting for those sqaulls, getting the odd unsatisfactory run (max 12kn/11kn 10sec!). Call it a day when the cold gets the better of me. Remember why I don't sail in winter very often!

Should have stuck it out with the 4.5......

RRD Firestorm 101L with 6.0M T-bird & 34 EX Vector then 36 EX as the 34 was slipping

Perfect setup in the gusts but they were few & far between, a lot of grovelling Frown

I probably sat in the car too long trying to get motivated watching the squalls come through.

Warmer than yesterday though Laughing

Woohoo, nice to see Shane back posting for the team.

Good numbers for the crap day that it was Surprised

I saw him getting out of the water (while I was cowering in the van) and he had a big smile on the dial so it must have been enjoyable Laughing
