Holloways Beach, QLD, AU

Late sail ......arrived at the beach about 2-30 , by the time I ventured out Tony was coming in.

Chris was still sailing and had been out for about an hour his wife said. Wasn't long before he come

in and I was on my lonesome......thinking to my self....'I must be great company'!!

Anyway wind was quite good but water was 'ROUGH' .   Had a couple of runs but could not jibe

without a swan dive to finish the turn.  Ended up being a good day with good company.

Port Douglas, QLD, AU

An absolutley insane winters afternoon in FNQ - 20knts and boardshorts. Thinking that me little mate Freddy Burke was over on GI playing with the older kids, I decided to take up Ed's offer of an afternoon sail in Port Douglas. Started off being reasonably flat for the first hour of the outgoing tide and very southerly. Then kicked in as a South Easter towards the later half of the session and really started to get rough out wide.

Sailed like a complete nanna today. Started with my 6.5 T4 , then did a quick upscale into the 7.5, by which time I was pretty well spent and struggling to hold on out the back. The old body feels like it done a round or two with Danny Green.

Great to sail with Ed, who was in a social mood today, ripping around on the "Duck".

104 Screamer, 6.5/7.5 T4, BPR 375/40.

Nice day on the island to try the new board.

Surprised with the alphas, thought I had 22's at the best. Island PB for me. This board has got some good numbers in it. I've got to learn how to use it now.

Well done on the BP Freddy, impressive alpha Gaz, infact impressive numbers from all the Green Island team.  Billy, I am glad the wind came in late for you, when I looked the the computer mid afternoon I expected a repeat of yesterday at Port.

Yeah had a fun session with Billy and one of the locals Chris,Just felt like playing today with no preasure. wasn't that windy when i first hit the water, but Turned out a fully powered  up session..97lt Isonic was pulling hard with 7.3m North rig and 40cm sting fin..Was surprised how good it felt in a choppy sea even when over powered with to much fin, started tail walking a few times but still totaly in control was enjoying it, but would of been faster with smaller fin, kept blasting till dark..Good PB Fred..
