Surprised
The PB is a bit of a surprise. It seemed effortless, just a cruise in the bay.
This is my first GPS session at Duxbury. Peter has been singing it's praises for years. (Should've listened)

Great turnout, on a beautiful day. Sailed on a 2 mile reach in a steady wind. Perfect cruising weather! Never turned off the wind for speed as I got my "fill of fast" yesterday. Trying to work my way back into the sport without reinjuring my foot! :-)

Duxbury Bay. Could have started earlier and sailed through low tide... next time. Tried to give a lesson first, but there was a bit of misunderstanding about skill level, and the wind dropped, so that did not work out as planned. Went to do some distance afterwards, and had fun on XFire 90/Matrix 6.0/BPF R 32. Great day, I love Duxbury in NE-ENE. Longest runs are 3 miles, and the chop is small and orderly. Could have sailed a few more hours with better planning (and if Nina had been fit). But it's getting chilly - the 4/3 was a bit cold on the arms today.

First time at Duxbury Bay - windsurfing nirvana. I wish I have known/sailed this place before. I was tired after yesterday's Ninigret bump and jump schei**e. So I couldn't push hard, my legs were burning

Can't wait for sailing Duxbury again

Congrats to the PB, Dean! Did not realize I had set one, too - but I was going for it. One of these days you'll have to tell me how you are always 4 knots faster than I am!

Hey Roo, thanks for your "game on" comment. I think it gave us a bit of extra motivation today Laughing

Way to go Peter! You set out to nail the hour and ended up with a PB!
Set out to nail an Alpha next time... it looked ripe for decent Alpha runs out there.
So this is the Duxbury that you've been ranting about? Nice...

Da-amn Bart, sweet session with 2 PB's and 2 more "near" PBs. I guess you liked Duxbury.
Seems that the "early bird" got the wind too. Nice work and keep it comin"!!
Cool

Yes, Dean, that's the Duxbury I love. If the wind is 25-30 degrees more northerly, the south side is downright unpleasant. The north side of the bridge is ok, but with shorter runs, and not as much fun. I did get 31 last Friday on the north side in NNE, but Nauset would have been even faster. The wind seems a bit more steady in Duxbury, though.

Bart, congrats for your to PBs! I guess we should have all started before 10 am, like you did. Next time we know that a 0.6 ft tide in such a Nor'easter is enough to sail through low tide with a 32 cm fin!

You're welcome Peter, another good days posting by the Foggies. You keep pushing the bar higher but we've got long arms!
