Moose (1193km): Swan Bay, VIC, AU Today was f***ing fantastic! Everything clicked, good wind, great tide and I got my kit tweaked just right. Cheers to Jimbob for the 5.8 Koncept, its the gift that keeps on giving, so much grunt and it stays powered up way off the wind. Thanks to red for lending me the gps otherwise he'd tell me i'm making it up :P

Jacques Kint (17565km): Swan bay,
Low high tide and hard to find somewhere to sail that wasn't to weedy today. Another Banjo shark and another broken boom clamp, them mother f**kers must be multiplying and getting bigger.

Jimbob (26496km): Beachport Surf beach, S to Se 25 to 30. JP92 freestyle wave, 5.0 KA Kaos, 4.2 ezzy wave till mast broke, 24 weedy. had a blast after work was full on on the 5.0 some great jumping ramps on port tack and some flats beween the white water at times. got a couple scary speed ups at times then having to sink the back foot to slow down before air time. happy with my gybeing so early in the season. realy likeing the wave sails think i might stay on them all summer. days like this in oct nov and dec should be speed sailing long the spit right up to the bank but shit theres no water there this year. think the speed gear will be packed away or sold up. rang a couple crew but no takers so by my lonesome again.

Captain bogan (50569km): Boggy Lake, SA, AU - 13 to 18 knots. What a weekend. Watching drag racing at Calder Park Vic saturday and windsurfing today. Took today off to recover from a big weekend but decided to head down for a sail. A little underdone on 6.3 at times in gusty conditions but wanted try it out after modifying cams the last few times out - got them sussed at last. Swapped between 87 and 115 but actually went faster on 115 due to not being fully loaded on 87. Good fun.
Bring on the seabreezes.... Patrik 87 / 115 / 6.3 gun sail GSR / Black Project R325 / R375 |
