Kalmus, Cape Cod. Wind was good (22-24 mph) when I rigged, and dropped as soon as I started sailing. Mostly underpowered on Skate 110, Matrix 6.0. Did not do much since the tide was getting high and I have to get used to the colder water again, but managed a planing push tack - only my second clean one ever, after getting my first one in Hatteras recently. Nice and sunny, air and water in the high 50s. Not bad, but Hatteras was 10-15 degrees warmer.

Good to see another US poster. Is it still too cold for the masses? Smile

Sailquik, it is still pretty warm for this time of the year. Many windsurfers on the east coast have a "100 degree" rule - they stop when air + water temp drop below 100 F (20 C). Water is currently 55 F, air near 60 if we have southerly wind (in the 40s in northerlies). But temperatures will drop within the next 2-3 weeks, and it will get lonely on the water.

The bigger obstacle is that days are getting short, with sunset around 5 pm. That keeps all after-work sailors and most guys with a long drive off the water.
