First time I have tried Mistral Speed 47. I didn't even expect to get on a plane on such a slow wind, just wanted to get it wet. I was amazed how stable the board is on chops and how easy to handle it. So, no resoult at this time, but, will use it all the time when proper conditions come our way..

24th Ave, Seaside Park, NJ x West wind 18-25mph. x Mistral Speed 47 x Severne Reflex 7M. x Fin Tectonics hornet 25cm.

Sandy Point, CT. Never quite got dialed in - direction was a bit too west for my test, my speed runs were in chop. Dean did better near shore, Bart in the chop, too. Wind was up and down a bit, but much better than the Kalmus readings look for today - definitely worth the drive. XFire 90, Koncept 5.8, Delta Weed 25.

This spot has a lot of potential once all of the elements line up. It was great to finally meet/sail with the speed demon Dean. Dean kudos for hanging there with the 7.0, I don't know how did you managed to do it and make it look effortless! Peter, Nina = hope to sail with you again soon! Cheers!

Bonus day in mid November: mild day with wind and warm(ish) water. Once again, we got decent wind, but the tide was low and the gusts were inconsistant. I'd love to sail this spot when everything comes together. The wind was light and gusting 0 to 20 when I got out to the slick. This prompted a re-rig to a 7.0 and 98 liter board with a big fin.

We were pleasantly surprised in the afternoon when the wind filled in and the sand started to blow... The 7.0 was stupid big, but I hung on until the wind died. It was great sailing with Bart, Peter, Nina and all the locals. Next time I hope to have my fast stuff out there when the wind arrives... We shoud get a boat! Dani, should buy a boat... (for the team) :-) :-)

Check it out, windy and beautiful... from today:
