Weird southerly, but good to be on the water with the usual mob.

Somewhat surprised to see 30kts given the wind strength. Did have a couple of good gusts and bear-aways in the flats. But then it took sooooo long to recover and sail upwind with the slow weed fin. Urgh.

iSonic 90L (sank!), MauiSail TRX 7.7 did its best, Vector Fins 27cm weedy.

Managed to sneak in a few runs during a squall after you left, John. Nothing amazing, but good to have a quick sail none-the-less.

Makes sense mate... there's almost always someone from the DDs out sailing when it's windy. Be great to have you on the team.

Yeah, cockroaches is the oldest team

its really sorta falling apart, who is the capt?

It used to be Sam, he never sails , then it was Larko, he started a new team, so....

Its awesome if you can get on a team with some sailing buddies, it def makes the whole experience better

Double demerits is yearning for a slalomfreak.........

Actually, just looking at the list of sailors on your team, some dont sail anymore, and those that still do sail dont care about the gps flavour and never post

You need to work out who the captain is and they are supposed to do the team transfers, or help you with it

its best to have more teams with less members, say 6-8. And race against other teams in your area with the same wind conditions etc, then you have a competition !!!. BUT if you are just after winning a trophy get all of NSW on one team eg. Tassie Speed Seekers, or maybe all of Australia. I cant see the point trying to beat someone that lives in an area that gets 20-30 knots every second day and you only get 5 knots of wind all year round.

The Demerits have received a new member, welcome aboard. John. Looking at our list we have around twelve sailors who post semi to very regularly. This is a good number as it means we should get a result on almost any windy day.

I agree with Boss Man it would be better to have a few smaller teams than one or two big ones. There is the sense of competition as he writes but also in a smaller team there is the sense of achievement and a better possibilty of contributing towards the team results.

We have a few NSW teams in the GPSTC. Hopefully this summer we can get in a fair bit of sailing but with this current weather I'm not sure we will.
