Elwood - repost!!
Nice speeds Bjorn! Congrats on the pb.
Was there any wind in Elwood? Bugger, Jman and I must have missed it, we were there up to around 5pm and left.
Might wanna double check those speeds boys, peak gust at Falkner today was 20 knots.
Noticed the wind came up later, hey Bjorn can you send me a link or email me your file and I will run it through Realspeed and check the 2sec before Martin chokes to death!
Ha, Just looked to me like that 2 sec may not be accurate. Awesome speed Bjorn if it is, I know how hard it is to go that fast at Elwood.
Only reason I am querying it is it is faster than my best peak at Elwood!!!!! Ha. That day I did 30.6 but my 5X10 was nearly 29 knots. Here there is a big gap 5x10 to 2 sec. If it is accurate Bjorn then the challenge is on!!!!!! first to a 35 peak at Pookipa.
where shall I send the file?
I was using a 99NoveNove 95 slalom, 6.3 Point-7 AC-ONE and a ifins 38 Fight Club
I have a Garmin 910XT set to 1 sec interval I think?
I like the challenge to reach 35 knts peak - should be doable tomorrow in 25 knots SE?
happy days,
Bjorn
Sent you an email Bjorn
results are different for 2 sec peak in GPS-Speed so it seems I was not faster than my shadow .. yet :)
Hey Bjorn, Big challange to do 35 at Elwood but reckon it,s not impossible. Sth East could be the direction to do it but may be a bit square?? Sth to Sth West the issue is the waves. When you run off the wind to get the speed up you are flying over the backs of the steep chop and it is plain scary, I had 2 smashed up ribs from trying the same thing at Ricketts some years ago.. The gear you have is the right stuff to do it on, small slalom board. I don't have that sort of gear anymore but tempted in good conditions to try it on my big speed board. Probably pretty mental but worth a shot.
Challenge on, we just have to ban Spotti.
