Desperation sail. It's almost six months since the last time.

Unsatisfying sail today -brought the wrong gear ...predicted wind didnt eventuate so a lot of grovelling & sinking at the end of the gybe .
Good to catch up with Captn Morgan & Bindi again so all in all still Fun ....

On the water at 6am with Bindi to make the most of the fast incoming tide. Beautiful sunrise with a full moon to the west made it a very nice morning sail.
Wind only around 15 to 20 but sunny skies and clean water made it very nice.
Used Isonic 90 OD 7.0 and Viper 36

Such a beautiful sunrise sail at Green Island that I decided it had to be the day to join the challenge. Wind dropped off after the morning session so I missed out on making the 20knt mark for the 2 sec - still felt like at least 25.
Green Island 15 -20 knts. Futura 110. Gator 6.0.

3165 days ago 1 categories Port Douglas, QLD, AU Happy hr Port Douglas.3 till dark..Spent the arvo powered up on 117 Isonic with burnt out 7.7m Niel Pryde rig 44cm fin, snapped a uni joint about 4km off shore and had to limp back to the pits for repairs ,that took the smile of my face for a while as i had got new ones for this season but have been too lazy to change it...Saw My wind surfing buddy Ian and his good wife having a nice beach walk was good too catch up with them..Ian will be back on the water asap..My wing man Andrew will be back on the scene soon as well.. Kept the peadle to the medal till dark to try and clock up a few km.. i guess it Was worth rigging up for. .Hope the boys down at holloways got a good session in.. Was keen for a run down there as i had no one to sail with, but had to work till lunch time so couldn't make it..Cheers Ed..
